Elizabeth Loy is…
A Dancer First.
Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Elizabeth began her dancing journey at the ripe age of eight. Inspired and in awe of the ballerina’s performing in a local studio production of Beauty & The Beast, Elizabeth knew that the stage was where she was meant to be. Throughout her childhood, Elizabeth trained in ballet, pointe, lyrical, jazz, and tap. In high school, Elizabeth competed throughout the Midwest in her schools award winning show choir, Prominent Rendition. Through show choir, Elizabeth was awarded multiple best-performers, as well as spend three years as dance captain. Continuing in her dance education at Ohio State, Elizabeth focused much of her collegiate career training under esteemed professors. During this time, Elizabeth conducted two dancer workshops offered to her alumni show choir, begin her yoga certification, as well as perform in opportunities provided by the dance department.
Currently, Elizabeth is pursuing a master’s degree in Counselor Education at Capital University. Following the completion of her degree, Elizabeth will obtain a licensure as a counselor and begin working towards her board certification in dance/movement therapy.
Elizabeth spends much of her time, drinking coffee, exploring nature, thrifting & antiquing, talking about Pride & Prejudice, and singing & dancing (of course)!
